Though concrete has almost taken over as far as stair cases
are concerned, there are still many old homes and other such places where it is
common to come across the iconic metal staircases. However, time is catching up
with them and many of them are in need for regular maintenance and upkeep.
These staircases are made from several components such as iron balusters,
newels, handrails, handrail fittings and various other such items. While some
components may be made of wood and other materials, most of them are made from
wrought iron, cast iron and other such iron based materials. Hence, it is very
